Introducing the KPERS 401(a) Plan!

Kansas local government employers who are already participating in the KPERS 457 Plan now have another option available if they want to make employer contributions to help their employees save toward a more sound retirement income! Meet the KPERS Supplemental Defined Contribution Plan, or KPERS 401(a). As the name implies, it's intended to supplement, not replace, the KPERS 457 Plan and/or other retirement plans your employees may already have, such as the KPERS and KP&F pensions, Social Security, etc. Click here to learn more!

Quick Enroll
The Quick Enroll form is available for local employees to easily enroll in the plan. Contributions from employees who enroll using this form will be automatically allocated to the Plan's target date fund that most closely corresponds to their profile. At any time after enrollment, the participant can, if they wish, change to other investments available in the Plan.


To obtain a local Quick Enroll Form:

  • Log into your employer account on Plan Service Center, click on the Employees tab, then click the Forms link, and select Quick Plan Enrollment. OR
  • Call Retirement Plan Services at 1-800-695-4952. Say "No," then say "Something Else." OR
  • Call the Topeka office at 1-785-414-3600 OR
  • Call your local Retirement Plan Counselor
